I used SharpKeys to set up my Dell keyboard months ago and all was well. Then I had to reconfigure one key for one task. Now nothing is acting correctly. The Windows key is the Alt, the Alt is the Control, even though I have them the other way around in the mapping dialog. I can't seem to get it back to even the default.

Is there a way to reset the registry? Should I uninstall then reinstall Sharpkeys? As I said, what I see in the mapping dialog and what actually gets mapped are two different things. I even tried deleting all the settings, and the keys are still messed up.

I should have left well enough alone. It was working so well.

Ahhh.... I fixed it by doing a system restore.
Fortunately I had a very recent restore point that was just before I started fiddling with SharpKeys.
Well, there went my morning.

Well I am playing a game and I needed to change the f keys to function how I wanted them. I ended up stuffing them up and I click f3 and it opens up a tab in the game, and I want f3 to open a different tab yet no key opens that tab so I can't change it to make f3 open it since nothing opens that particular tab due to me stuffing it up. I hope that make sense. How can I completely reset my f keys?

Hello All.

I do not like the Num Lock on my Laptop. I had used Sharpkeys before and used it successfully to disable the Num Lock Key.
I then reimaged my unit. Post this, I just cannot disable the Num Lock Key.

I've reinstalled .net 4.0. Same Issue
Reinstalled Sharpkeys. Same Issue
Tried different versions on Sharpkeys. Same Issue

At this moment, I need to know which registry key is it that i can manually change to disable the num lock key OR get Sharpkeys and my laptop playing nice to each other.

Awaiting help! SOS

SharpKeys dosnt recognizes the functional keys.
All functional keys are recognizes as 00_100.

Same issue with *Internet button* on *Tracer trk-402*. Being recognized as `00_100` too.

Hi,
First of all i would like to say i'm a huge idiot, i started messing with this program, not really knowing what it was, and i ended up messing up my f keys, is there anyway i can the original f keys back?

During the installation, I thought I set sharpkeys to have my particular settings apply only to my account, not other user accounts on the same windows 7 machine. This has not occurred since another account experiences my keyboard settings. How do I make my settings apply only to my account?

I am running 3.5 on win7 and I seem to have an interesting problem.
Sharpkeys is working backwards.
I wanted to press Caps Lock and have it Backspace then Space to fix a problem I have in a Word document where there are returns in the middle of sentences.

In the From column I put Special: Backspace (00_0E) and in the To column I put Special: Caps Lock (00_3A)
In the From column I put Special: Space (00_39) and in the To column I put Special: Caps Lock (00_3A)

But when I press Caps Lock I get Caps Lock
When I press Backspace I get Caps Lock
When I press Space I get Caps Lock.

When I set it as follows it works but only one key.

In the From column I put Special: Caps Lock (00_3A) and in the To column I put Special: Backspace (00_0E)

I can't set more than one key as cops Lock disappears from the left list.
Am I doing something wrong?

The AltGr-Key (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AltGr_key) is essential on German keyboards. If I try to add a Mapping to or from it via the "Press Key"-Button it identifies it as (E0_2038), but the following dialog says "You entered a key that SharpKeys doesn't know about. (etc.)" and discards it.

I tried to remap the MacBook Air caps key but SharpKeys tells me the key is not recognized.
The keycode is '0E-3F3A'.

Could this key maybe be added to the next release of SharpKeys?

Created Issue: Right Alt not working correctly. [9897]

I switched R Alt for R Ctrl, Windows Key for R Alt, and R Ctrl for Windows. I had some others as well. I'm trying to find the right combination for gaming.

I decided to start over and deleted all of them and wrote the registry at the same time. Reboot, now R Alt is acting like both Ctrl and Alt. I can CtrlAltDel, click on single files from a group but can't Alt/Tab with it. When I play games, some games list it as R Alt while other simply list it as Ctrl, Not L or R Ctrl, just Ctrl. When I press it in Sharp Keys, it says "E0_2038" and "You've entered a key that SharpKeys doesn't know about. Please check the SharpKeys website for an updated release". It used to list it. Also, L Alt won't do anything if I press it in SharpKeys but otherwise works fine.

Any idea what to do? I've added and deleted things tons of times and have had no problem. Thanks.

Hi-
I tried to run the program from XP running under Boot Camp on a MacBook Pro. The single "Alt" key on the keyboard is broken, and I'd like to map one of the two "open apple" (equivalent to "Start") keys to function as the "Alt" key.
When I try to run the executable, I get the a failure-to-initialize error (0xc000135). Anyone know a fix for this?

Closed Issue: Dialog box gives incomplete information on platform support [7529]

When first running Sharpkeys, there's a dialog box that says "you need to be running Windows XP, Vista, or 2003 for this to work" or something similar. (Sorry, forgot the exact message).

But I'm running it successfully on Windows 7.
The dialog box should be updated.
