Commented Unassigned: Keys are configuring wrong [11017]

I used SharpKeys to set up my Dell keyboard months ago and all was well. Then I had to reconfigure one key for one task. Now nothing is acting correctly. The Windows key is the Alt, the Alt is the Control, even though I have them the other way around in the mapping dialog. I can't seem to get it back to even the default.

Is there a way to reset the registry? Should I uninstall then reinstall Sharpkeys? As I said, what I see in the mapping dialog and what actually gets mapped are two different things. I even tried deleting all the settings, and the keys are still messed up.

I should have left well enough alone. It was working so well.

Ahhh.... I fixed it by doing a system restore.
Fortunately I had a very recent restore point that was just before I started fiddling with SharpKeys.
Well, there went my morning.

Go to your System Preferences/Keyboard/Modifier Keys.
You can't change all the keys, but the Shift, Caps Lock, Command, Control and Option keys are customizable.

Well I am playing a game and I needed to change the f keys to function how I wanted them. I ended up stuffing them up and I click f3 and it opens up a tab in the game, and I want f3 to open a different tab yet no key opens that tab so I can't change it to make f3 open it since nothing opens that particular tab due to me stuffing it up. I hope that make sense. How can I completely reset my f keys?

Lenovo decided to place a 'close key', which closes your open window when you press it, right next to the volume up and down keys.

Lets disable that sucker with sharpkeys!

But wait, when I try to choose the key by pressing it, it closes sharpkeys!

It seems to be one of the >30 'unknown's on the menu. Does anyone have any ideas on how I can disable this key?

I use the Zykon K1 for gaming and the Logitech K350 keyboard for typing.
I want to use the K1 for all my keybinds and the K350 for the in game chat, my problem is now that when i set a key to a diferent action bothe keyboards save that setting and when i'm writting almost all the keys are relocated

Hello All.

I do not like the Num Lock on my Laptop. I had used Sharpkeys before and used it successfully to disable the Num Lock Key.
I then reimaged my unit. Post this, I just cannot disable the Num Lock Key.

I've reinstalled .net 4.0. Same Issue
Reinstalled Sharpkeys. Same Issue
Tried different versions on Sharpkeys. Same Issue

At this moment, I need to know which registry key is it that i can manually change to disable the num lock key OR get Sharpkeys and my laptop playing nice to each other.

Awaiting help! SOS

SharpKeys dosnt recognizes the functional keys.
All functional keys are recognizes as 00_100.

Same issue with *Internet button* on *Tracer trk-402*. Being recognized as `00_100` too.

Does anyone know a sharp keys equivalent for a mac? or if there is a download available for a mac? I know there is some key remapping out there for a mac, but none of them are as good, and as customize-able. Any responses help! Thanks!

I recently installed and changed the right windows button, to the right ctrl button. So I had a "blue screen of death" and then it worked, and windows just fine. But when I try to shut my computer down, it restarts again, even though I push the "turn off" button inside windows

Hello,

I bought a new keyboard of the brand Trust CLICK HERE to model.
The keyboard has a key (star) who do not do anything and I want to change it to open my e-mail.
I select ADD, then TYPE KEY, and when I choose the star key to see that I pushed (0_100), then I get an error message (You've Entered a key That Sharp Keys does not know about)
Someone who knows how to fix it?

I am having a minor problem, however, with rekeying a concurrent problem I am having with my computer. A key known as "e0_401c" is typing continuously on my computer when I first turn it on until I type another key. While generally not a severe problem, "e0_401c" seems to be something like the right spare 'enter' key, therefore it causes my computer to accidentally run programs over and over and checks prompts for me until I am able to get it to recognize that I pressed another key. Unfortunately the SharpKeys 3.5 release doesn't seem to have a mapping for this tricky key. Might anyone be able to help? Thank you!

I'm very much a noob at this stuff but was wondering if someone could help remap the power key on my laptop. It's some PoS Gateway and the power button takes anywhere from 15 to a bajillion clicks to turn the damned thing on. It gets a kind of annoying as you might imagine. During the installation, I thought I set sharpkeys to have my particular settings apply only to my account, not other user accounts on the same windows 7 machine. This has not occurred since another account experiences my keyboard settings. How do I make my settings apply only to my account?
